♟️ About the William Ramsay Elementary School Chess Club
- The club meets on-site at William Ramsay Elementary School on Mondays, starting at 3:00 p.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m.
- The Fall 2026 session is open to grades 2 through 5. There will be 4 Monday meetings from November 23, 2026 through December 14, 2026.
- Meeting dates are November 23 and 30; and December 7 and 14, 2026.
- The cost is $60 for the complete 4-meeting session ($15 per week). We will never turn a student away due to lack of funds, so please email josh@dmvchess.com to request a free scholarship spot if you cannot afford the $60 fee.
- Each meeting lasts one hour and includes a 20–30 minute chess lesson followed by guided practice and playing time.
- We love helping children improve at chess and seeing the progress they make both on and off the board! More than 10,000 chess players have benefited from DMV Chess programs, and we're excited to bring an afterschool chess club to William Ramsay Elementary School!
