♟️ About the Weyanoke Elementary School Chess Club
- The club meets on-site at Weyanoke Elementary School on Tuesdays, starting at 3:30 p.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m.
- The Fall 2026 session is open to grades K through 5. There will be 6 Tuesday meetings from November 10, 2026 through December 15, 2026.
- Meeting dates are November 10, 17, and 24; and December 1, 8, and 15, 2026.
- The cost is $108 for the complete 6-meeting session ($18 per week). We will never turn a student away due to lack of funds, so please email josh@dmvchess.com to request a free scholarship spot.
- Each meeting lasts one hour and includes a 20–30 minute chess lesson followed by guided practice and playing time.
- We love helping children improve at chess and seeing the progress they make both on and off the board! More than 10,000 chess players have benefited from DMV Chess programs, and we're excited to bring an afterschool chess club to Weyanoke Elementary School!
