♟️ About the St. Genevieve School Chess Club
- The club meets on-site at St. Genevieve School on Thursdays, starting at 3:00 p.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m.
- The Winter 2026–2027 session is open to grades K through 8. There will be 8 Thursday meetings from December 3, 2026 through February 4, 2027.
- Meeting dates are December 3, 10, and 17, 2026; January 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2027; and February 4, 2027. There will be no club on December 24 or December 31 due to school closures.
- The cost is $144 for the complete 8-meeting session. We will never turn a student away due to lack of funds, so please email josh@dmvchess.com to request a free scholarship spot.
- Each meeting lasts one hour and includes a 20–30 minute chess lesson followed by guided practice and playing time.
- We love helping children improve at chess and seeing the progress they make both on and off the board! More than 10,000 chess players have benefited from DMV Chess programs, and we're excited to bring an afterschool chess club to St. Genevieve School!
