We hope to see your child there!
We are currently gauging family interest in an after-school chess
club and hope to begin the program as soon as there is sufficient interest.
- Cost: $18 per student per week (free scholarship spots can be available as well)
- Length: 1 hour sessions once per week for 8–12 weeks
- Location and Time: After school on-site
- Eligibility: All grades K and up
Each weekly meeting would include a lesson from a professional chess instructor, followed by guided practice time. Coaches enjoy working with kids and have extensive tournament experience as players themselves. Lessons will cover topics including opening principles, piece values/evaluating trades, tactics (forks, pins, skewers, etc.), endgames, and more. Practice time gives kids a chance to implement what they've learned while having lots of fun.
